Tracey Grimaldi is a lifelong musician and theatre lover who accompanied and coached singers for years before officially launching her professional vocal teaching studio in 2001. She has a dynamic, industry-centric, results-oriented approach to teaching to develop all aspects of a performer, incorporating book building, presentation skills, breath support and vocal technique for theatrical auditions and performing arts program admissions, while maintaining the passion of storytelling through song. In addition to focusing on live audition preparation, Tracey’s background in TV/film production has proved invaluable in helping students produce audition videos for digital submissions.
Tracey’s students have appeared in Broadway, National and Regional productions, including: The Book Of Mormon, Matilda, Cats, An American In Paris, Jersey Boys, Wicked, RENT, How 2 Succeed, The Lion King, Shuffle Along, The Prom, Mary Poppins, Hair, In The Heights, West Side Story, Chicago, Get On Your Feet, Legally Blonde, 9 to 5, The Witches of Eastwick, Beauty and the Beast, The Merry Widow, Superfly, Smash, We Will Rock You, Evita, Leap of Faith, A Chorus Line, 13, The Capeman, The Civil War, and Pal Joey. Her younger students have gained admission to LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, PPAS, Special Music School, university performing arts programs, and have earned leads in competitive youth and regional theatre companies and summer programs, including Stagedoor Manor and French Woods.
Many of Tracey’s students are referred by the agents and managers she maintains productive relationships with due to her high casting rate. She brings equal enthusiasm to working with singers, actors and dancers. Tracey believes in the importance of tapping into each artist’s area of strength and that all disciplines of the performing arts should be connected. She works privately with adults, teens, tweens, and children from her Upper West Side studio, and teaches group workshops at outside studios and performing arts programs.Tracey holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College with a minor in Communications. She attends professional development courses held by NYSTA (New York Singing Teachers’ Association), of which she is a proud member.
Tracey is also the founder, owner, and operator of Bleecker Prompting, Inc., a premier TelePrompTer company. She has worked with hundreds of celebrities, politicians, newscasters, industrial actors, and corporate executives, as a prompter operator, speechwriter, and public speaking coach for television, film, and video shoots and live events.
Amy has performed in eight broadway shows, originating roles in five. Originated Susan in tick, tick... boom! off broadway. Maureen in the first national tour of Rent. Gwendolyn in The Importance Of Being Earnest at Williamstown and Alana O’Dell in Robin And The Seven Hoods - Old Globe. TV: Law & Order: SVU, The Blacklist, Chicago Med, Royal Pains, Bored To Death, Six Feet Under. Film: Reefer Madness, Synecdoche, NY. She is an acting and vocal coach. She lives in NYC with her husband, actor Brian Shepard.
Beatrice Owens (she/her) is an actor, playwright, and theatre educator based in Astoria, Queens. She has a BA in Theatre Performance from James Madison University and an MA in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has a wide-range of theatre education experience from 1:1 style coachings in acting and audition techniques to large group theatre-based activities in school and summer camp settings. Beatrice has coached children and young adults for the last 5 years and is committed to empowering her students to make big, bold choices in their art and lives. She is familiar with a huge range of repertoire and excels at finding great audition monologues.
Lori Swift has been an industry professional for over 25 years, first at Bernard Telsey Casting, casting over a hundred projects. She then joined KSR as a talent agent for 12 years representing many emerging and established Broadway stars. In 2015, she joined 180 Management & Production as a talent manager. Her clients have appeared recently in productions such as Sweeney Todd, Parade, Hamilton and Wicked.
With her strongest training in dance, triple threat Sarah has toured nationally & internationally with shows including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cats (Victoria) and The Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Tour. Favorite regional credits include: Beauty and the Beast, Guys n’Dolls and Cabaret- all while a student of Tracey Grimaldi! T V: actor/dancer in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, co-host of Time Life Loves the 80s alongside 80s pop icon Thomas Dolby. TV ad credits: Samsung, Napa Auto Parts, Geico, Pillsbury, Cold EEZE and Aleve. Most recently Sarah got to be on the other side of the camera choreographing & directing a commercial for Ulta Beauty and Sol de Janiero.
Sarah is on faculty at The Alvin Ailey School and Dance Theatre of Harlem where she teaches ballet, jazz, musical theater, composition, conditioning and anatomy. She loves being a dance educator and coach with students at every level and particularly enjoys helping singers and actors reach their full potential as triple threat performers by strengthening their dance skills to be competitive in booking professional productions and gaining admission to performing arts programs.
Morris is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is available for emotional support and to just look cute during lessons. He's heard it all and doesn't judge. He has a great deal of experience at being a dog. Morris is also an Instagram influencer who promotes healthy pet products.
